We are AAHA Accredited
Hometown Vets is proud to be accredited with the American Animal Hospital Association. This honor is claimed by just 12-15% of all veterinary practices in North America; this voluntary pursuit requires complete commitment and a passion for high-quality veterinary care from all team members.
Our AAHA accreditation is our promise to you and your pet—to deliver care to the highest possible standard every day.
What is AAHA?
AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) was founded in 1933 to improve the standard of care in veterinary practices nationwide, and help practices keep abreast of rapid changes in the industry. Operating under the core values of simplicity, integrity, and collaboration, AAHA is the only accrediting body for animal practices in existence, and it maintains a lengthy list of standards and guidelines that all AAHA accredited practices must follow.
What Makes AAHA Accredited Practices Different?
Hometown Vets, like all other AAHA accredited practices, undergoes routine inspection by AAHA experts every 3 years to ensure we are meeting all 900+ AAHA standards. Accreditation is voluntary, which means we go above and beyond to deliver outstanding care to you and your pet. We believe you deserve the best service and treatment at every visit.
AAHA’s standards cover virtually every aspect of a veterinary practice to increase quality of care, including:
- Anesthesia
- Surgery
- Preventive care
- Vaccinations
- End-of-life care
- Dental care
- Infectious disease control
- Biosecurity
- Pain management
- Senior care
- And more
